Creating

Some words about creating......
Throughout the years I experimented with different ways of creating. I made narrative/theatrical as well as abstract/conceptual work, very physical and less physical work. I wrote and worked with text, made stage design and decor myself, also an installation. I made work for theaters as well as for churches, art gallery spaces and other locations. The aesthetics of the works (e. g. concerning movement vocabulary) depended on whether they were commissioned or my own initiative.
My core motivation to create and perform is a continuous movement research and the interest in the broad spectrum of performance quality whereby I am not hesitating to use any style or vocabulary of dance, body language or gesture. Dance is a fleeting art form which means that the presence and authenticity of the performer is a fundamental element in my work and the key to communicate with the audience.
I believe in the combination of continuous practice, dedication, research, craft and intuition to achieve artistic quality and I am equally interested in the artistic process and the final product.
